Nigeria: Gen. Aziza Tees Off As Aziza of Okpe Kingdom

Lagos — Come Monday 13th April 2009 General Patrick N. Aziza will tee off a new chapter in his illustrious life.

Apart from being a respected Army Major General (rtd) , Aziza who hails from Okpe LGA in Delta State is also a splendid golfer. On Monday, the retired army general would be conferred as the Aziza of Okpe Kingdom, by HRM Orhue 1 (JP) CFR MNI the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom. The ceremony begins at the Orodje's Palace and the reception would take place at Aziza's residence at Adagbrasa in Okpe LGA Delta State.

Aziza's amiable personality has attracted a lot of people to him, thus some of his golfing friends, as a way of showing support to the General, have put together a Special Kitty which will take place on April 12th at the Shell Ogunu Golf Club in Ogunu. Top amateur golfers like Barrister Moses Odibo, Sam Iredia, Sylva Umole, Cletus K Emein, Kingsley Okunbor,, Chief Uba Attoh, IGCC captain Honourable Daniel Mayuku and other golfers from Benin, Asaba, Enugu, Warri and Aba will also be part of the kitty.
