Eritrea: Construction of Residential Houses for Inhabitants of Ambesete-Geleba Nearing Finalization

Senafe — The construction of residential houses for the inhabitants of Ambesete-Geleba, who were displaced and living in makeshift camps following the TPLF regime's war of aggression, is nearing finalization.

The Administrator of Senafe sub-zone, Mr. Bereket Tekeste, explained that demolished houses belonging to about 642 families are being reconstructed, and that the local inhabitants have already began moving to the newly built houses from the makeshift tents. He further stated that they are actively engaged in Government endeavors to ensure potable water supply in the area.

The Administrator of Ambesete-Geleba administrative area, Mr. Negasi Mehari, on his part expressed appreciation to the Government's initiatives to satisfy their basic needs while staying in makeshift camps and added that they are doing their level best to become self-supporting and productive.

The local inhabitants said that the implementation of potable water supply in the area and the construction of the Forto-Ambesete Geleba road amply demonstrate the Government's support to displaced nationals.
