Somalia: Rally in Favor for Sharia Law Takes Place in Central Town

Adado — Hundreds of people rallied in Adado town in central Somalia Monday in favor the decision of the parliament which endorsed the Islamic Law to be ruled in Somalia.

The Somali parliament unanimously endorsed the Islamic Sharia on Saturday.

The demonstration which Himan& Heb Administration organized took place in the centre of the town.

The demonstrators were carrying posters and were chanting slogans to support the decision of the parliament. They were also carrying the portraits of the Somali president Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed.

Dr. Abdi Elmi Guled, the governor and Sheik Abdirahman Adawe, Adado District commissioner spoke to the demonstrators and called for the government to put in action the decision of the parliament.

The demonstrators were chanting slogans to support the implementation of the Islamic Law in Somalia and the peace.
