Somalia: District Commissioner Escapes Explosion Attack

Somalia — Hodan district commissioner, Abdi Mohamed Dhabaney escaped explosion attack on Maka al-Mukarama road in Mogadishu, officials said on Thursday

The deputy commander of the Somali police forces Gen. Hussein Yusuf Dhumal told Shabelle Media Network that three civilians were slightly injured in the explosion.

He added that the district commissioner escaped unhurt. No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack.

Blasts often occur on Maka al-Mukarama road which is a key road that connects the airport and the presidential palace in Mogadishu.
