The balcony of a two storey building, located at No. 11A Cotton Street in Banjul, last Tuesday morning at around 11:30 am collapsed on four people while they were sitting under it.

Sering Sillah, an eye witness, said the incident occurred when one Oumie Corra, climbed on top of the building to hang cloths she had washed on the balcony. According to him, during the process, parts of the structure collapsed and the girl and a lot of rubble fell down on the four labourers who where relaxing under the building.

He confirmed to the Daily Observer that the girl suffered from a broken arm and the four labourers sustained serious injures. He said the girl was then rushed to the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital.
