Somalia — Mohamed jama' Ali known as (MJ), a director of the Somali foreign ministry has held a press conference in the Somali capital Mogadishu on Thursday and appealed the Somali pirates who are captured in the Somali coasts to be convicted in the country.
Mr. MJ said that the international law states captured pirates in the Somali coasts to be convicted in Somalia adding that it is right those who are seized out of the Somali coast can be sentenced outside the country requesting from the international community to bolster the transitional government of Somalia to form the justice institutions and rebuild the jails of Somalia.
The statement of the foreign ministry of Somalia comes as many of the European countries handed hundreds of Somali pirates captured in the Somali water to Kenyan authorities after EU and Kenyan government agreed earlier the captured Somali pirates to be jailed and convicted in Kenya.
