Luanda — The Angolan musicians, Carlitos Vieira Dias, Elias Diakimuezo and Carlos Burity, topped the gala of homage to the nationalist, Liceu Vieira Dias, held on Friday night, at Luanda's Tropical cinema.
During the event, which coincided with the date of birth of the honoured musician, Carlitos Vieira Dias, his son, sang four numbers of his Angolan popular music, with stress to the themes "Mbiri Mbiri" and "Palame".
He also sang other songs such as "Marçalina", "Muxima" and "Mana Bessangana ", whereas, Elias Diakimuezo, the" King of Angolan music", also appeared with" Mana Kudile Ngo "by Liceu Vieira Dias, and" Nzon Nzon" of his own.
The gala also counted on the participation of "Ballet Tradicional Kilandukilo", the musicians Paloma, Zé Kafala, Yola Semedo, groups Yaka, Kituxi and "Banda Maravilha".
Carlitos Vieira Dias received, in the name of his father (at the end of the first show), a prize and a certificate of honour awarded by the company which sponsored the event, Angola Africa Fashion.
Also at the gala, which brought together some 400 fans of the founder of the historic Ngola Ritmos group, were the musicians Margareth do Rosario and Carlos Burity
