Nigeria: Bribery - EFCC Docks Lawyer

A Lagos based lawyer, Barrister Chima Benedict will tomorrow be arraigned before an Abuja High Court in Gudu, for allegedly demanding bribe from his client in the name of theEconomic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

A statement by the EFCC yesterday said Benedict had last November petitioned EFCC on behalf of his Germany-based client, Mr. Fred Holm who alleged that some employees misappropriated the funds belonging to his Nigeria-based company, Tha Shipping and Maritime Services Ltd.
