Liberia: 'We Are Prepared to Die,' Ducor Residents Respond to Government

Residents of the Ducor Hotel community say they are prepared to die for the land and other properties which according to them were acquired legally during the administration of the late President William Richard Tolbert.

The Liberian government is seeking the removal or eviction of the residents from the area to give way for the renovation of the Ducor Palace Hotel by the Libyan Company, but the residents have dug into the heels, refusing to be vacated because according to them they legally obtained the land.
