Tunisia: DIY French Mega Store to Open Soon in Tunis

Tunis — A do it yourself (DIY) mega store under the financial authority of "Med Business Holding" is to be opened shortly in Tunisia under the label of BRICORAMA the name of a major French chain of DIY mega stores.

The project which is the result of a Tunisian-French joint venture, has necessitated investments amounting to12 Million Dinars.

Covering an area of 5 hectares, the store will present some 40,000 products to customers, namely decoration, arrangement, equipment, building , electricity, garden, tools, hardware, kitchen, sanitary and wood

items.

It is also estimated that the Tunis based BRICORAMA will facilitate the referencing of Tunisian products to international markets.

The unit which will be located in "Sebbelet Ben Ammar", on the edge of the motorway connecting Tunis with Bizerta will also have a direct access to the Tunis city centre. The site will cover a total area of 8000 square meters including more than 5000 meters of retail space.

It will also comprise a free parking lot that capable of accommodating nearly 350 vehicles, as well as additional spaces for catering and banking services. It is expected to generate more than 250 new employments.

After France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Morocco and Algeria, Tunisia is the seventh country in the world to host "the yellow Sun" signboard.
