Nigeria: Katsina Pays N2.4 Billion for Fertiliser Subsidy

Katsina — Katsina State Government says it has paid over N2.4 billion in the past and current years as fertiliser subsidy; as part of efforts aimed at making the agricultural sector more viable in the state.

Governor Ibrahim Shema who stated this during launch of 21, 200 tones of state-wide fertiliser sales in Matazu council area, said last year the state paid fertiliser subsidy of N1.4 billion; while over N1 billion was paid for this year's subsidy.
