Huambo — The Angolan prime minister, António Paulo Kassoma, handed over on Thursday various equipment for ground levelling and repair of secondary and tertiary roads in central Huambo province.
Paulo Kassoma, who arrived on Wednesday in Huambo, chaired the opening of the 2nd Supreme Council on Sports which is to end on Friday.
The equipment will also be used for the preparation of the grounds that are part of the land reserve of the central Huambo province Government and the plots for the housing programmes.
The equipment comprise graders, bulldozers, mechanical diggers, rollers, dumpers, trucks, concrete mixers, cranes, vans, hoes, shovels and others.
Various brigades have been set up to improve the service and performance of the means that will be used in the districts of Huambo, Chicala Choloanga, Bailundo, Cachingo Mungo, Ukuma, Londuimbali, Chinjendje, Longonjo, Caála and Ekunha.
The prime minister said on the occasion that the equipment are part of an Angolan Government strategy to promote the development of provincial and district infrastructures.
