Johwar — Al-shabab Isalamists have captured the strategic town of Jawhar which connects Mogadishu and central Somalia towns, witnesses said on Sunday.
Jowhar is 90 kilometers south of the Somali capital Mogadishu and al-Shabab and the pro government Islamic Courts Union have fought in Garsale village about 25 kilometers south of Jowhar town.
Reports say that more of Al-shabab forces with many battle wagons could be seen in the Jowhar town specially at the centre and the police station of the town and sources say that at least 3 ICU fighters were killed in the fighting between the two sides.
There is no comment from the Islamic Courts Union about the latest fighting and no one knows exactly where the ICU are in the region and the real casualty of the fighting in Garsale village.
This latest round of fighting seems to be part of ongoing clashes between rival Islamist groups in Galgudud and Hiran regions in central Somalia.

It is astoundment and worrisom the africa union and the international community to watch not coming with firm and decissive action towards the islamic militant who vowed to overthrow the legitimate and fragile government in somalia and impose their ideological and hidden agenda on the somali people. Al-shabab was seen as revolutionary during the ethopian occupation but it is now apparent and clear that their agenda is far beyond. we are exhausted of senseless fighting and the civilian uproots.
