Somalia: Three Killed in Fighting in Central Region

Bulabarde — At least three people have been killed and several others have been injured after armed militias and other forces fought overnight in Ceyn village about 40 kilometers east of Bulabarde town in Hiran region in central Somalia, witnesses told Shabelle radio on Monday.

it is unclear the reason of the fighting and sources say that the three people died in the fighting were member of the warring sides in Ceyn village adding that there are some other people who were injured in the fighting.

Residents expressed concern about the fighting to spread further in the rural residences in the region adding that one of the two warring sides is managing the village currently.

The clash comes as there had been other clashes between the Islamist forces in the region which caused more casualties for the civilians in the region recently.
