Somalia: Calm Returns to Central Town

Abudwaq — Calm has returned to Wabho on Saturday, a town in central Somalia after fighting between al-Shabab and Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a that killed at least five people in the town late on Friday, Shabelle's Abkarin Bulhan reported on Saturday from Abudwaq.

Locals told Shabelle Media that the situation of the town came to standstill, but there is fear that fighting could start any time as the two groups regrouping.

Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a forces took control of Wabho town in Galgadud region after fierce fighting with al-Shabab.

The two sides have recently fought in the town and two towns in central Somalia.
