South Africa: Huge Fire Kills Seven in South Africa

Cape Town — At least seven foreign and South African people have died and more others injured after enormous fire burnt Somalis' shop in Cape Town overnight in South Africa, Shabelle' Ahad reported on Saturday.

Ahmed Abdullahi known as (Yariis), a Somali man who owned the shop told Shabelle's correspondent in Cape Town that the fire destroyed whole building of the shop in the centre of Cape Town in South Africa killing seven people including a Somali man whose body was not found so far.

It is yet unclear what caused the fire and reports say that most of the people who died in the blaze were Nigerian and South African people and the property lost there was estimated about $70,000.

Most of the Somali people in South Africa collect money then add and start businesses in South Africa like clothing and food but do not have any insurance agencies that help them when such catastrophe comes.
