Nigeria: Group Wants Senator to Explain Role in Ghana Trip

The people of Kaduna central senatorial district were shocked and embarrassed that their representative in the Senate, Senator Mohammed Kabir Jibril is amongst the law makers that went to Ghana to allegedly collect bribes by oil majors in order to influence the petroleum sector reform bill, Kaduna Stakeholders, a political pressure group has said.

In a letter addressed to Senator Jibril, the group wrote that it received the news with disbelief that Senator Jibril made the list of senators that "made an infamous trip to Ghana" to allegedly "collect bribe to influence debate in the Senate."
