Nigeria: HITV Forms Consortium, Bids for EPL Again

Lagos — HiTV, one of Africa's leading digital satellite operators, has announced its intention to acquire the broadcast rights to the English Premier League for sub saharan African continent alongside 11 other payTV operators in Africa. This bid forms part of a major proposal presented to the FA recently by HiTV, which will also offer every country in Africa its own DTH platform.

Toyin Subair, managing director and Chief Executive Officer of HiTV while confirming the bid admitted the success of it's initial business deal with the English FA.
