President Bingu wa Mutharika will be inaugurated tomorrow as President of Malawi at Kamuzu Stadium.
Some delegates from outside Malawi are expected to start arriving this afternoon.
Meanwhile former president Bakili Muluzi has conceded defeat and he has announced that he will attend the inauguration ceremony.
But Malawi Congress Party (MCP) is disputing the results. However MCP president John Tembo refused to talk to the press.
Latest results from Malawi Electoral Commission indicate that Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has won 50 seats out of the 79 constituencies where tabulation of results has been finalized.
Independent aspirants have scooped 11 seats while United Democratic Front (UDF) also has 11 seats.
Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has got 7 seats while MAFUNDE party has 1 seat. Petra, PPM, MPP and CODE have since scooped none.

ALTHOUGH THE PRESIDENT ELECT WILL BE INAUGRATED TODAY AT THE KAMUZU STADIUM. THE OPPOSITION LEADER JOHN TEMBO WROTE A LETTER TO MALAWI ELECTROL COMMISSION'S CHAIR,COMPLAINING THAT THERE WERE SOME IRREGULALITIES FROM THE SIDE OF THE WINNING PARTY DURING THE ELECTIONS IN WHICH HE SAID SHOWS THAT THERE WERE SOME KIND OF RIGING. IN HIS LETTER TEMBO TOLD THE CHAIR NOT TO ANNOUNCE THE RESULTS UNTIL THE COMMISSION ATTENDS TO HIS COMPLAINTS.
WE ARE YET TO SEE WHAT STEP THE OPPOSITION LEADER WILL TAKE FROM NOW.

I don't agree with the expression that the election in Malawi is flawed on basis of "unashamed" bias of State-controlled media. You should have been there when the same opposition denied to fund the State-controlled media. How come then do you expect services from an institution that you have denied funding? It beats me?
I can now see why Bob said the election was free and fair, with all the rigging going on, it speaks for itself.
