Somalia: Calm Returns to Mogadishu

Somalia — Calm has returned to the Somali capital Mogadishu on Saturday after heavy fighting between transitional government soldiers and Islamist rebels that killed more than 40 people in the capital.

Though the rival forces are still in their positions, there is no fighting between the two sides today.

The movement of the traffic and people restarted again in Mogadishu and people reopened their businesses.

Friday's fighting has killed about more than 40 people and 200 in Mogadishu.
