Madam Mary Broh and her team, assisted by a bulldozer over the week end demolished several structures on "110 street" in Clara Town on Bushrod Island in Monrovia. "110 street" is a haven for harden criminals, seasoned prostitutes and ghettoes guys.
During the demolition of the structures, some of the community dwellers cheered Madam Broh and her team for tearing down the most notorious street in the densely populated area on the Bushrod Island.
The ongoing government's demolition exercise which is intended to give Monrovia a face lift has entered Clara Town, a slum community on Bushrod Island with several make-shift structures.
The head of the government's special task force, Mary Broh said the mandate of the government must be adhered to in all quarters to ensure that Monrovia is clean like other cities in the world.
Madam Broh noted that prior to the demolition exercise; a warning was issued to those with make-shape structures regarding the process.
A resident of the community told this paper that "I am happy because one cannot cross on that street at night without losing your belongings or being wounded.
The resident of the community said they are relieved the fear of criminals attack at night in Clara Town.
The demolition exercise in Clara Town also affected several make-shift structures on the premises of the Clara Town Market, with the mandate of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, who was present during demolition exercise.
The demolition exercise attracted the attention of District #10 Representative, Hon. Regina Sokan Teah, who commended the special task force for a job well done in her district.
She averred that upon her ascendancy, she cautioned the people of the district to be mindful of where structures were been constructed, because government wouldn't condom any construction in the right- of-way.
Meanwhile, headquarter of a local advocacy group, the "Polit Bureau" also in a make shift structure was demolished by Madam Broh and her team amid cheers.
The operator of the yellow machine assigned with the task force moved into the walls of the Polit Bureau, thus tearing it down without thinking whether this is the voice of the voiceless.

bravo madam broh,thanks for the hard work,you such a wonderfull woman,continue and God will guide you,this ,is to the central govenment,she must encourage potential investor to develop some nice apartment,in those places that was been occupide by makeshaft structure,it,s a disgrace for we liberian imagine a country with age of 160years the front of our city is so polluted,our government should build new communities for for our [people and newport street,gurley street,meclainstreet,and the entire city center including westpoint,slapway,clara town,via town logantown newkru town,we are complaining about malaria,but we are contributing to the survival of dengenrous and harmfull mosquitoes,these so-call communities help 100% to pollute the measurado river and other water sources,these communities mis manage our water resource and they help othe bacteral to grow in those environment,
