Nigeria: Softly, Softly, FRSC Boss

Recently, the Federal Road Safety Commission Chief Executive Mr. Osita Chidoka threatened to support accident victims financially toward filing lawsuits to claim damages against transport companies involved in road mishaps. The question is how realistic is this thinking of the FRSC boss considering the numerous accidents and the multi faceted factors causing these accidents on our roads daily?

In matters concerning accidents on our roads, it is worthy to note that apart from the transport company, the government agencies involved in transport matters are also guilty and deserve blame. For example, why on this earth are basic traffic signs missing on our highways? Is this not the responsibility of FRSC? Do we also blame transporters for the bad condition or narrowness of our highways, for which many patriotic Nigerians have cried over the years?
