A witness, Queen Okeiyi, a commercial photocopier at the department told Campus Roundup that some of the students who attempted retrieving some of the valuables from the office sustained injuries in the process.

Although, fire fighters came to intervene but much destruction had already ensured.

Efforts to talk with the head of department proved abortive as he immediately retired home after the fire incident.

It would be recalled that a similar incident in the past occurred at the Mass Communication Department of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
