Somalia: Fresh Fighting Starts in Mogadishu

Mogadishu — Fresh fighting between the transitional government soldiers and the Islamist forces has started in parts of Hadan district in the Somali capital Mogadishu, witnesses told Shabelle radio on Thursday.

Residents said that the fighting is continuing in several neighborhoods like near Hodan district police station, KPP and Taribunka square in Mogadishu as the sound heavy gunfire could be heard in and around the capital.

No casualty has been reported so far and there is no comment about the fighting from both the warring sides.
