Luanda — At least 50 books are part of the consignment of academic teaching materials that the Embassy of the United Kingdom has donated, Thursday, in Luanda to the Higher Institute of Education Sciences (ISCED).
According to the dean of ISCED, Daniel Mingas, the manuals will help minimize the shortage of literature facing the country in which the institution is no exception, because the country does not produce enough literature for higher education, especially for teaching language.
For him, the amount of manual is not concerned, but the quality of the books, because they are works that have recently won awards for publication in the UK in the areas of applied linguistics and the study and teaching of English.
For its part, the British ambassador to Angola, Pat Phillips, said that this gesture will be made whenever necessary and may be extended to other areas with other materials related to teaching and learning.
