Luanda — Most complaints submitted by citizens who search for the Ombudsman services are relating to labour disputes, granting of pension funds and matters of police custody excesses.
This fact was revealed to ANGOP, by the Angolan Ombudsman, Paulo Tjipilica, during an assessment made on the functioning of the institution after the first four-year term, which expires on June 09.
According to the government official, complaints on excess of police custody are confirmed, in most cases, with assessment visits made to prisons by staff of the Ombuds Office.
In order for the concerned authorities to aware of these situations, he added, reports of mentioned visits are written and subsequently sent to the offices of the Head of State and the Angolan Parliament Speaker.
