Lobito — A total of 80 companies have been authorised to build industries in the Industrial Estate of Catumbela region, Lobito district, southern Benguela Province, said Thursday the chairman of its board of directors, Samuel Orlando do Amaral.
Speaking to the press, the official explained that the company recorded more than 400 applications for opening of spaces in the industrial estate and 80 of this number have already received the assurance to start their projects.
According to him, the stability of the country, good conditions of roads, prospect of moving and resumption of the Benguela railway attract the interest of national and foreign entrepreneurs to implement their firms in the referred industrial project.
To facilitate the implementation of the projects, a contract was signed on Thursday between PDIC and Metal Mora Angola firms, which will be in charge of preparing the 36 square metres of land for the construction of industries and 15 square meters for shops and leisure parks.
The Catumbela Industrial Estate is located between the cities of Lobito and Benguela.
The region has already plants in operation, such as Coca-Cola, Cuca BGI or SOBA Catumbela factories.
