Somalia: Ethiopian Troops Say They Arrived in Balanbal Town to Fight Against Foreign Enemies in Somalia.

Balanbal — The Ethiopian troops who reached in Balanbal town in central Somalia recently have said that they want to fight against what they called foreign enemies of Ethiopia in Somalia, officials told Shabelle radio on Sunday.

Hassan Barre, the chairman of Balanbal town in Hiran region told Shabelle radio that the elders and scholars of the town had talked with the Ethiopian troops saying that the Ethiopian officials informed them that they arrived the town to look for what they described foreign groups who are organizing fighting against Ethiopia.

The administration of Balanbal town in Hiran region reporters that the Ethiopian troops' officials said that they came the town to fight against foreign groups whom they described they are the enemy of Ethiopia in the town.

Mr. Barre said they were unaware the arrival of the Ethiopian troops in Balanbal town pointing out that they did not come the town for the order of their administration adding that they had had a dialogue with them and will vacate from it with their order while leaving.

The statement of Balanbal town administration comes as more of the Ethiopian troops reached in the town recently and had talked with the people of the town.
