Uganda: Govt to Create 100,000 Jobs in 2009/10

Kampala — OVER 100,000 jobs will be created following the huge investment in the road sector this financial year. This was announced by finance minister Syda Bbumba in an exclusive interview with Sunday Vision.

The jobs will range from local suppliers of construction materials, engineers, designers, masons and road builders. The Government has allocated sh1.2 trillion for road construction the coming financial year, making it the single most funded sector.
