Abia — Federal Government has been urged to take steps towards enforcing full compliance with the policy on adding value to the nation's primary food products, especially cassava and yam, which constitute the major staple foods of Nigerians.
Executive director of the National Root Crop Research Institute (NRCRI), Umudike, Dr Kenneth Nwosu, made the call while speaking with newsmen at the 33rd anniversary celebration of the Nigeria Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST) held at the NRCRI with the theme: Value Added Processing of Root and Tuber Crops.
