Luanda — Russia will fund the construction of two dams in Angola, to be built in Kwanza River, corridor of the northern Malanje/Kwanza Norte provinces, in the framework of the existing economic and commercial relations between both countries.
This was said to ANGOP in Luanda by the Russian ambassador to Angola, Serguey Nenáchev, in the light of the celebration of Russia's Day, which was marked on 12 June.
According to him, the construction of these dams is part of the economic cooperation package that both countries are committed to establishing.
Without mentioning the amount of money to be invested in the infrastructures, the diplomat said that the dams will be built in the localities of Kapanda (Malanje) and Cambambe (Kwanza Norte) and they will have the capacity to produce 2000 megawats of power.
To him, Angola and Russia are defending now the need of a new dynamics and diversification in the economic and commercial cooperation.
