THE Government has started the rehabilitation of feeder roads in Kafue district.
Kafue District Commissioner (DC), Winford Ngoma said the Rural Roads Unit (RRU) under the provincial administration had released two graders to the district for the feeder roads rehabilitation project in Kafue and Chilanga constituencies.
Mr Ngoma said the programme would be carried out over a period of two weeks. He said the district had selected 17 roads in all the wards to benefit from the project.
The DC said the development had cheered people in the district as many roads had not been attended to for a long time. He expressed optimism that once the roads were rehabilitated, it would be easy to access all areas in the district for various business activities.
Mr Ngoma appealed to the operators and supervisors of the graders to put up quality works on all the roads. He said his office would closely monitor the works so that everything was done to the satisfaction of members of the public and the Government.
