Rwanda: Khumalo Goes, Mikkawi Comes

Khumalo, who is becoming the CEO of MTN Uganda, said that he was grateful for having been part of the team that has seen MTN grow and become the number one cellphone operator in Rwanda. Under his reign, the company grew exponentially, and increased its number of subscribers from 250,000 in 2006 to over one million today.

The outgoing CEO thanked the staff and customers for the support they have given MTN and urged them to continue with the spirit of keeping the company at the top.

Khaled Mikkawi, for his part, expressed his happiness to be in Rwanda and said he is ready to continue the commendable work of his predecessor. Mikkawi is the former CEO of MTN Liberia.
