Libreville — Angolan Prime Minister, António Paulo Kassoma, Tuesday in Libreville, Gabon, paid homage to the late Gabonese President, Omar Bongo Ondimba, who passed away on 08 June, in Spain, victim of an ilness.
In representation of the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, Paulo Kassoma, placed a wreath on the coffin where the remains of Omar Bongo lay.
Signing the condolence book, the Angolan Prime Minister expressed, on behalf of President Eduardo dos Santos and the Angolan people, deep feelings of sympathy to the bereaved family and to the Gabonese people.
The Premier is being accompanied by the Foreign Affairs minister, Assunção dos Anjos, the Foreign Affairs Ministry Africa department director, Nelson Cosme, and top officials from the Premier's office.
Omar Bongo will be buried on June 18 in Franceville, his homeland of Haut-Ogooué (east), after a week of homage in Libreville, where the remains arrived last Thursday.
He was born in Lewai, currently called Bongoville, near Franceville.
