South Africa: FNB Building Confidence Increases in Second Quarter of 2009

Johannesburg — THE FNB Building Confidence Index increased marginally from a value of 28 in the first quarter of 2009 to 29 in the second quarter, according to the latest index released today.

The index measures the business confidence of all the major role players and suppliers involved in the building industry including architects, quantity surveyors, contractors, sub-contractors, wholesale and retail merchants, and manufacturers of building materials.
