Ambassador Amjad Bin Houssein Abdel Hamid Boudaiwy has been in Cameroon for seven years.
The outgoing Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Cameroon, Amjad Bin Houssein Bin Abdel Hamid Boudaiwy was at the Star Building yesterday, June 17 to say goodbye to Prime Minister Ephraim Inoni. He arrived in Cameroon in April 17, 2002 and presented his letter of credence to President Paul Biya on December 12, 2002.
The Saudi Arabian diplomatic declared to the press after the audience that cooperation between his country and Cameroon was good. He cited areas of cooperation to include health, education and infrastructural development. The Saudi Bank, the diplomat said has been intervening in construction projects in Cameroon such as roads. Saudi Arabia, the Ambassador disclosed is a member of the Islamic Bank and the World Bank and has been collaborating with the financial institutions to foster the development of Cameroon. The outgoing Saudi Arabia's ambassador said he would have loved to see the construction of the Ayos-Bonis road in the East Region of Cameroon completed.
Cameroon, Amjad Bin Houssein concluded, "is a good, stable, peaceful and secured country” and considered himself lucky to have been the first ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the country.
