Luanda — The chairperson of the Angolan Olympic Committee (COA), Gustavo da Conceição, Friday was re-elected to the post for the next four years, in which he promises to work for a better representativeness of the country in 2012 London Olympic Games.
Gustavo da Conceição ran without opposition for his replacement and obtained 34 votes. He reminded that COA, along with the national federations, will seek to find peaceful solutions for the development of sports in Angola.
"It is not easy, but we will do everything in order to control difficult situations, above all those involving the international financial crisis. The executive commission of the Olympic Committee comprises deputy chairpersons Justino
Fernandes, Archer Mangueira and António Monteiro, Mário Rosa is the secretary general and Nádia Cruz is the treasurer.
