Debarwa — Debarwa sub-zone has registered significant development especially in the domain of infrastructure in the post-independence years, according to Ms. Elsa Haile, head of development department in the sub-zone.
Noting that the town has remarkably expanded and its population grew from 3,000 to over 19,000 in recent years, Ms. Elsa pointed out that health and kindergartens facilities in Debarwa town have expanded, in addition to schools and service-rendering institutions.
In line with the allotment of tiessa land in the sub-zone, Ms. Elsa indicated that over 1,800 inhabitants have been allotted their individual share both for residual and business purposes.
