Freetown — In a bid to promote education in Sierra Leone, Youth Centre for Learning Advocacy and Development (YUCLAD) has started working with the Evangelical Primary School at New England to conduct syndicate classes for junior and senior secondary school pupils.
Project manager, Gbassay Sesay, told Concord Times that boosting education was part of the community-based organization's numerous programmes, and that the idea of syndicate classes was in line with their objectives.
Sesay said the classes will cost parents lesser as the gesture from YUCLAD was humanitarian and geared towards helping its immediate environment in the area of education.
He admonished parents to send their children to these classes so as to garner knowledge that would make them leaders of tomorrow.
The idea of syndicate classes was welcomed by the coordinator of Evangelical Primary School, Mr. Kamara, who said the New England community was in dire need of such an opportunity.
