Luanda — The air link between Luanda (Angola) and Maputo (Mozambique) could be resumed at the end of the current year, revealed Tuesday the Mozambican ambassador to Angola, António Matonse.
Accord to the source, the decision of reopening the Luanda/Maputo route and vice versa, interrupted for more than ten years due to commercial reasons, was taken recently by the government of the two countries.
As he said, this new move awaits only some agreements of technical and logistical character between the air companies TAAG (Angolan Air Company) and LAM (Mozambican Air Line).
The decision of restabilising the Luanda/Maputo and other routes was settled by the heads of State of the two countries and the respective governments.
