Kenyans in Southern Sudan have met authorities there after two of their compatriots were killed and another seriously injured over the last month.
An advertising firm's employee was fatally stabbed and a mechanic shot dead, while a turn boy is nursing serious bullet wounds after attacks in Rumbek Town.
Kenyans in Rumbek met the state governor and the Security minister to express their concerns about the attacks.
During the meeting held last week, the two leaders assured Kenyans that all was being done to ensure their safety.
The government of Southern Sudan started a disarmament programme on Monday.
ne of the Kenyan victims, only identified as Mr Ojiambo, a Magnate Ventures employee who had gone to erect billboards for a local bank, was said to have been stabbed as he was walking from one hotel to another at around 8pm.
Magnate Ventures declined to comment on the issue and instead referred the Nation to the victim's family.
It was reported that a man who was armed with a spear attacked the Kenyan and stabbed him in the chest, killing him instantly on Tuesday last week.
Hardly two days later, another Kenyan, the turn boy of a truck delivering goods to Rumbek, was shot and injured by bandits who sprayed the lorry with bullets about three kilometres away from the town.
The man, identified as Hussein Charo from Kisauni, Mombasa, was hit by three bullets in the abdomen.
Previously, a Kenyan mechanic only identified as Musa was shot dead by a gunman near Canar Hotel in Rumbek.
Two other Kenyans are reported to be stranded in Tonj town of southern Sudan after their employer abandoned them.
