Tunisia: President Ben Ali Focuses on Implementation of High Technology Content Partnership Projects

Tunis — During a meeting with the Prime Minister, Mr Mohamed Ghannouchi on Tuesday, President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali focused on the evolution of partnership projects with brotherly and friendly countries in light of the agreements reached, as well as those currently in progress.

President Ben Ali issued instructions in this respect, to follow up on the implementation of cognitive content and high technology value partnership projects.

He also stressed the importance of strengthening ties between national companies and partner countries, with a view of exchanging experience, boosting investments and joint projects, as well as promoting integration in regional and international marketing and distribution networks.

During the meeting, President Ben Ali promulgated the law relative to the industrial real estate agency (AFI), which aims at enabling real estate promoters to purchase plots of land in view of meeting the demand of investors relative to the buying or rental of premises destined to industrial use.

He also promulgated the law relative to literary and artistic property, reiterating in this respect the importance he gives to the protection of the copy rights of authors, creators and producers of literary and artistic works.

President Ben Ali entrusted the Prime Minister with chairing the opening of the 11 th edition of the Carthage Investment Forum due to be held on June 24 and 25, 2009.
