Eritrea: Inhabitants of Debarwa Sub-Zone Assist Families of Martyrs

Mendefera — The inhabitants of Debarwa sub-zone conducted a popular campaign in a bid to assist 1,670 families of martyrs'.

Accordingly, a number of residential houses have been rebuilt for 170 families of martyrs, while farmlands for 1,400 families of fallen heroes have been ploughed through the undertaking. The popular campaign was conducted with the objective of supporting disadvantaged families of martyrs, whereas a number of youths, women and the elderly took part in the campaign.

A father of two martyrs, Mr. Berhe Tekola and a father of a martyred national, Mr. Habteslassie Teka, said that their residential houses have been fully reconstructed thanks to the people and government and that this fully attests to the respect the people and government have for the martyrs.

Also, a participant of the popular campaign, Mr. Debesai Afwerki, expressed satisfaction for being part of the campaign, thus honoring the trust of martyrs.
