Cameroon: Eto'o Silent On Barca Future

Kigali — Barcelona ace Samuel Eto'o Fils has refused to comment on his future after recent speculations that he could be heading to England or Italy next season.

The Cameroon international, who was instrumental in Barcelona's treble last season, has been linked with a move to Manchester City, Manchester United and Inter Milan.

However, when asked to comment on the speculations moments after playing in Monday's Charity game aimed at supporting the 'One Dollar campaign', a project aimed at improving the living conditions and social welfare of the survivors of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsis, he went silent on the subject.

"Please, I don't want to comment on this matter," Eto'o said during the All-Stars dinner at Serena Hotel. Latest reports though indicate that Barcelona president Joan Laporta hopes Eto'o will finish his career at Nou Camp.

Eto'o knows that a move away from Barca would see his wages increase considerably but after scoring 30 league goals last season, Laporta is desperate to sit the player down and negotiate a new deal, with his current contract set to expire next summer.
