Kampala — Theatre La Bonita is the place to be this Sunday as the Heaven's Incorporated Project (HIP) group stages a worship concert.
The group is part of Vision of African Rain Ministries (ARM) set to bring together praise and worship leaders of different denominations across cities in a conference to teach and equip church music pastors, worship teams and worship leaders with skills as well as praise to God for elimination of evil powers from the church.
"The Mission is passion for God, compassion for people. We are looking at setting up a school of Worship, have a worship live band with which we can organise worship concerts," says the group spokesman, Mr Ashley Wandera.
The concert aimed at raising funds to help needy children and the project for the elderly, will start at 3pm ahead of a worship conference at the Church of God Kamyokya that starts on Wednesday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm on each of the respective days.
"All these events are free of charge, under the sponsorship of Reverend Randy from Virginia, U.S.A, the guest speaker for this Conference and also the Patron of African Rain Project," he says.
The host for the event is Bishop Solomon and Mary Mukonjo, overseers of Church of God Uganda.
The concert is being organised by African Rain Ministries under the dub "Spirit of the worship conference", a seminar that will teach and equip church music pastors, worship teams and worship leaders among other players with a range of skills. Entertainment in the week-long conference will include Sabbath Mass Choir of Church of God Kamwokya, Worship Team of VCC Ntinda, members of Alpha Praise of Praise Christian Centre, Youth Extra ministries, members of Sanctuary Worship Team, and Sr. Perry. Guest ministers will include H.I.P, Pr. Wilson Bugembe, Pr. Judith Babirye, God's Image, Generation Boys, Florence Rukundo, Joy Tendo and a worship team from Eldoret Kenya.
