The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday endorsed the indefinite suspension of its Borno State Chairman, Alhaji Baba Basharu from office.
The party said the suspension followed his failure to implement directives from the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
A release by PDP's National Publicity Secretary, Prof. Rufai Ahmed Alkali said the party party frowned at Alhaji Basharu's gross insubordination, indiscipline and disloyalty. The party which said Alhaji Basharu is to appear before the National Disciplinary Committee added that such acts as exhibited by him were capable of ruining the PDP's development and progress in Borno State.
The NWC directed Alhaji Basharu to immediately hand over all party documents and property in his possession to the Deputy State Chairman, Barr. I. G. Amuda who should take charge of all party affairs until further directives.
