Luanda — Russia's President, Dimitri Medvedev, on Friday here assured that henceforth it will be provided a greater attention to economic relations, mainly in the area of investments, Angop has learnt.
The Russian Statesman, who was speaking at the opening ceremony of the official talks between delegations of both countries, said there are good perspectives for technical-scientific, military and mineral (hydro-carbons) and energy cooperation.
"Our interests are common because there are important producers of hydrocarbons. Angola is the most important oil producer in the African continent and is in the presidency of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), therefore it is important to
co-ordinate our action in the context of the world crisis", he said.
The Russian president also spoke on the modernization of industries, in telecommunications and launching of the Angolan satellite AngoSat.
Dimitri said that his country and Angola share the same points of view in matters related to international problems, mainly those ones related to the African continent.
