Those who perished through accidents have been identified as Oringi Oramutu and Lazaro Cyprian, 37, who died in Monduli and Mbulu districts respectively.

Arusha acting regional police commander Deus Msimeni said the late Oramutu was hit by a speeding motor vehicle near Mto wa Mbu township.

He died on the spot during the accident which took place on Saturday at around 7p.m. at Baraka village along the Arusha-Ngorongoro road.

Police are still looking for the driver involved in the accident who disappeared immediately afterwards.

In order to curb accidents, several road bumps were recently put up on the tarmac road.

In Mbulu, Mr Cyprian was killed when he fell from a moving lorry at Tlawi village. He was among several people who had boarded it.

Acting Manyara regional police commander, SSP Josephat Mwingira, said the deceased was initially hit by a tree as the motor vehicle was moving.
