Ghana: Obama Jamboree in Kumasi July 4

Kumasi — THE ATTA Mills Foundation intends organising a jamboree at the Centre for National Culture in Kumasi, as part of activities to welcome US President Barack Obama to Ghana.

The jamboree, slated for July 4, this year, is also to serve as Remembrance Day for the first US African American President, who touches Ghana on July17.

The Life Patron of the foundation, Rev. Togbui Fugah, said the jamboree was to express the appreciation of Ghanaians for the visit, and hoped that residents of Kumasi would get fully involved.

The Secretary, Mr. Eric Kumatse, announced that other activities lined up to commemorate the occasion include a massive clean up exercise, from the Anloga Junction to the Manhyia Palace, through the Kumasi Children's Home, where the foundation intends to make donations to the inmates of the Home.
