Benguela — The national senior males basketball team ended Saturday a training programme in Benguela Province, which aims to prepare for the African cup, Afrobasket2009, scheduled for Libya from 05 to 15 August.

In an interview to ANGOP, the national coach, Luís Magalhães, said that this was another success of the project that the Federation is committed to, in view of the Libya 2009 competition, and that the players are engaged and with good results.

Reacting to the African championship draw, the coach said that the national squad are ready for the competition, as well as capable to pass through the first two phases and being present at the finals.
